PUBG Mobile Club Open: Spring Split SEA League Begins!

The League Stage Of The SEA PUBG Mobile Club Open Begins On The 8th Of May/h2>

The PMCO: Spring Split SEA League will consist of 24 teams fighting for a prize pool of 165,000$ and one of the twelve spots leading into the Championship stage of the tournament. The League features 5 of the top placed qualifier teams for each region (Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia) plus 4 wildcard teams. The teams will trade punches and bullets over the course of five and a half weeks at the VSPN studio in Shanghai, China, for a chance at a ticket for the Championship stage of the tournament. Our very own squad, Secret BiuBiu, Secret Stewart9k, Secret SinB Neo and Secret Alex will also be on the battlefield, trying to replicate their amazing run from the Malaysian regional qualifier, in which they came first, outclassing their nearest opponent by 40 points.

Teams To Watch

Besides the Team Secret boys, viewers should be on the lookout for the Thailand based Purple Mood E-sport squad, who barely edged out their opponents, Illuminate the Murder and RRQ Athena for the number one Thailand national seed. Over in Indonesia, after a nerve-racking final game win, Victim Esports made it clear that they are a force to be reckoned with, despite missing out on the national number one seed to Bigetron Esports. The Vietnam qualifiers told us a different tale, with BOX gaming dominating the field and ending the qualifier as the number one national seed, with nearly double the points of their nearest opponent, FFQ Mobile. The Malaysian squads Victorious in Play and MGC Junior Talent will be looking to exact their revenge and give Team Secret a taste of their own medicine, after falling behind them in the national qualifiers. Little is known about the wildcard Filipino and Cambodian squads, but there’s no doubt they will be using that fact to try and surprise the main contenders.

Scoring, Placements, Championship Stage

A point is awarded for each kill, on top of the placement points, with 30 points being awarded for first place, 22 points for second place, 19 points for third place and so on. Twelve of the 24 league teams will earn a spot at the Championship stage, and along with the country top 4 for each of the regions, will try and fight their way to the Grand Spring Championship finals in July. Only three of the SEA regional teams will get the chance to battle the rest of the world for a portion of the incredible $2.5M prize pool. You can catch the action on https://www.youtube.com/pubgmobile , 5 times per week, with matches taking place on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday as well as during the weekend.

Make sure to follow our boys throughout their league run and cheer them on all the way to the Spring finals! #SecretFighting
