Thank you, Nisha

It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to one of the cornerstones of our Dota 2 roster of the last four years. Michał "Nisha" Jankowski has been a consistent factor in Team Secret’s overall success and our strong placement at The International 2022.

Although fans often perceive his presence as quiet and unassuming offline, in-game he erupts into a beast, with big plays and show-stopping performances. Nisha is a well-oiled machine unto himself and one of the best midlaners competing.

A careful glance over Nisha’s history shows that it was on Team Secret that Nisha began to distinguish himself as one of the most revered carry and best midlane players in the scene. Team Secret rounded out their DPC 2018-2019 season roster with a young, fledgling player from Poland. Nisha was only 18 years old but had built up a standout reputation competing for in Europe over the previous few years. It was enough to catch Clement "Puppey" Ivanov’s eye for talent.

Under Puppey’s tutelage, Nisha’s success and popularity began to surge as he racked up titles and achievements. He became the first Polish player to attend The International in 2019. In 2020 he was awarded Esports PC Player of the Year. He claimed multiple Major wins and trophies from various tournaments across the globe. Just two months ago ended the 2021-22 DPC season with a second-place finish at The International.

A few words from Clement "Puppey" Ivanov on Nisha's departure from the Team Secret Dota 2 roster:

"What can I say about my boy Nisha... We've played many years together, shared many laughs, travelled the world and won a bunch of tournaments.

I cherish our time together and completely understand his decision to move on and see more of the world.

I wish him all the best and hope that his fire will keep burning for many more years."

We wish Nisha the best of luck in all of his future endeavors and continued success in his career.

He leaves behind some big shoes to fill, but stay tuned as we get ready to take our next strides and leave an imprint on the upcoming Dota 2 2022-23 season.
